Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data sent through Turquiana is processed, in accordance with Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, where applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The controller of the data collected directly through this website is ANT PROFILES YAPI İNŞ. VE DEKOR. ÜRÜNLERİ LTD. ŞTİ., which operates the Turquiana digital channel. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, write to info@turquiana.com.

Turquiana is an independent channel for promotion, information and first assistance. It is not a travel agency and does not charge for trips. When you request a proposal or wish to book, your data may be passed to the partner operating agency BHN MAVİ TURİZM VE SEYAHAT TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. (Pride Travel), TÜRSAB licence A-5240. That agency confirms availability, formalises the booking, receives the payment, provides or organises the travel services and issues the invoice; for that processing it acts under its own legal obligations.

2. Data we may process

• Identification and contact data: name, email, phone number and country of residence.
• Travel request data: dates, number of travellers, destinations, preferences, budget and messages sent.
• Data needed for the quote or booking if you decide to go ahead: passenger information and other data required by suppliers or authorities.
• Basic technical data: IP address, security logs, device type and data needed for the site to work.

Please do not send special-category (sensitive) data through the form unless it is necessary. If a medical, accessibility or dietary need requires processing sensitive information, it will be requested through an appropriate channel and on the corresponding legal basis.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Answering enquiries and preparing a travel proposal you requested.
• Passing the request to the operating agency and to the suppliers strictly needed to quote or provide the service.
• Handling pre-booking communication and following up on the request.
• Protecting the site, preventing misuse and meeting legal obligations.
• Sending marketing communications only where there is consent or another valid legal basis; you may object or withdraw consent at any time.

The legal bases are taking pre-contractual steps at the data subject’s request, performing a contract, meeting legal obligations, the legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and handling requests properly, and consent where it is required.

4. Recipients and transfers

Data may be shared, to the extent necessary, with BHN MAVİ TURİZM VE SEYAHAT TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. (Pride Travel), accommodation providers, transport companies, guides, local operators, technology providers and competent authorities. The specific recipient depends on the itinerary requested and on whether you decide to go ahead with the booking.

Some trips include services in Türkiye, Greece, Egypt or other countries listed in the programme. Where data must be transferred to another country to quote or provide the service, the safeguards required by the applicable rules will be applied and the data limited to what is strictly necessary.

5. Retention

Data is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and then for the applicable legal or limitation periods. Enquiries that do not become bookings are reviewed periodically and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, information about, rectification, updating, erasure or restriction of your data; object to processing; withdraw consent; and, where applicable, request portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or with the competent supervisory authority in your country.

To exercise these rights, write to info@turquiana.com stating your request and the information needed to verify your identity. We will not ask for more data than needed to handle the request.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No system connected to the Internet can guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies, Google Ads and third-party services

The site uses technical cookies that are necessary for it to work, for security and to remember your privacy preferences. These cookies cannot be switched off in the panel because the site needs them for its basic functions.

Turquiana uses Google Ads to measure which campaigns generate enquiries. The Google tag runs with Consent Mode v2 in advanced mode. Until you make a choice, the ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization permissions stay denied. In that state Google cannot create or read advertising or analytics cookies, although it may receive cookieless technical signals for aggregate measurement and modelling, such as the consent state, the time, the browser type, the referring page and whether the visit carries information from an ad click.

If you allow the measurement or advertising categories, Google may use cookies and conversion signals to attribute enquiries to campaigns and improve their performance. Enhanced conversions are not enabled, so Turquiana does not send Google the email address or phone number entered in forms for that purpose. Your choice is kept for up to 12 months in the necessary cookie tq_consent_v1. You can accept all categories, reject the optional ones or set them individually. To change or withdraw your consent, use the “Cookies” button at the bottom left of the site; rejecting the options is as easy as accepting them.

Links to WhatsApp, Tripadvisor, TÜRSAB or other external sites are governed by the privacy policies of their respective providers.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The date of the current version appears at the top of the page.

Meta Pixel and advertising

We use Meta Pixel only when you accept the advertising category. Before that consent we do not load the Meta SDK or send PageView events to Meta.

When you allow advertising, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited may receive technical and interaction data to measure campaigns, build audiences and attribute conversions. You can withdraw your consent from the cookie panel at any time.

Google Analytics and the cookies we use

In addition to Google Ads, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to understand in aggregate how the site is used. Google Analytics only creates cookies if you accept the measurement category; without that consent it works in cookieless mode. Advertising cookies are only created if you accept the advertising category.
